In terms of euthanization we also want this to be legal in New Zealand, however, like cannabis, we want strict rules. The Pohutukawa party has decided to only allow individuals aged over 30 to be able to make the choice of ending their life. Not only are you only allowed to end your life if you are above 30, but you must need a very valid reason to end your life. You must have a terminal illness and a short time to live. The Pohutukawa party believes that none of the youth in New Zealand should be able to end their life at a young age as they have so much to see. Though we do want our youth to see and explore the world, we want them to be able to make a decision on their future plans by the age of 30. But legalizing euthanization, we can possibly decrease the terrible suicide rates in New Zealand and solve many people's issues both when legalizing cannabis and euthanization.
