In the past few months, we all have made many sacrifices due to COVID-19. We all have put a lot on the line to get us through this world crisis. Now, we must begin taking another step forward together, with confidence. The confidence to rebuild our learning, rebuild our Whanau, and to restore the livelihoods of all of us in this room right now. Only the Pohutukawa government can provide the leadership to do that. That is why we must win the upcoming election.
Our team and I understand that the task for the next Whanau Government is massive, but we’re honored with pride by the opportunity to lead this party. We take it seriously. I would like to thank and acknowledge our Pohutukawa party team who have worked hard to give our party the fullest potential, given it their all, and I as the leader is very grateful for their service. I as the party leader today promise to you that whatever we will do, you guys will not expect any regrets from us. All we need is your trust, and support for our party. So, folks, it is time for your sacrifice to be repaid. Always remember this is your Whanau and your voice.
“Think once, think twice, think Pohutukawa.”

Greeting all, we are the Pohutukawa Party who are running for the 2020 MHJC Water Whanau election. We would like to create changes in several aspects both in New Zealand and water Whanau. For this, we have created numerous “new” policies. These policies incorporate the environment, tourism and both the upcoming referendums
(Cannabis and euthanization). Not only are we creating policies but we are trying to solve issues/problems in MHJC; specifically Water Whanau by listening to the students' issues and taking actions. We want to improve and change positivity in the environment, we want to help the tourism industries through these difficult times, we must have a say in our opinions in terms of the upcoming referendums. By these changes which the Pohutukawa Party will enforce, we will improve the way all individuals who live in New Zealand and all students experience throughout their time in MHJC. After all, this is your Whanau, so your voice! Remember “Think once, think twice, think Pohutukawa”!
